Space clearing to detox and boost your business

The energy of spaces and people exerts an invisible but profound force on our behaviour – and whether that is good or bad for your business is in your hands, as Rachael White* explains.
How often do you walk into a salon, spa or clinic and pick up on “the vibe”? It’s one of the first things we notice about a space – how it feels.
What exactly does that mean when we say a space has a “feel”? Sometimes even the most stunningly aesthetic of spaces can have a “feel” that makes us uncomfortable. We just can’t put our finger on it but it “doesn’t feel right”.
The “feeling” we all talk about is energy. When you meet someone and you don’t really know why but they “don’t have a good feeling”, you’re tapping into that person’s energy.
Maybe they just had a fight with someone, or maybe they are in a bad mood, lonely, depressed or anxious. Possibly the feeling means their intentions are not good.
Some of us are so incredibly sensitive to it that another person’s negative energy can be almost impossible to be around.
Architects and designers are employed to create spaces that maximise their energy and support the right flow of life force.
But what happens when the energy becomes trapped in a space? The space needs to be cleared, just rooms need to be physically cleaned.
Therapists, healers, bodywork practitioners and clairvoyants, in my experience, are all very sensitive to energy. It is this sensitivity that contributes to them being such a great therapist.
However, the day-in and day-out of working in colleagues’ and clients’ energy can place a drain on the staff and the space.
Space clearing is for some of the top spa and wellness destinations across the globe as much a priority as their physical cleanliness. As such, they have in company wellness policy and procedures that space clearing is a regular exercise for keeping the space and staff energetically well.
Clients are coming to be healed, nurtured and transformed. During massage or spa rituals a client’s energy and aura experiences a deep cleansing and clearing of the energetic body.
Over time, salons, spas and clinics can become full of other peoples released energy. This is why therapists need to have a good process and procedure in place for protecting their own energy and shielding.
I have met so many therapists who’ve told me how unwell they’ve felt after working on particular clients.
One told me that during a bodywork session she felt something happen to her. She was unable to return to the industry for a couple of years because she continued to feel unwell and was very vulnerable to other people’s energy.
Aesthetics and wellness establishments that have the insight to the sensitive nature of their clients and staff invest in ensuring that they maintain a high vibrational space.
They know clients will choose to come and be healed in a space based on the how it makes them “feel”, as well as for the range and quality of the services offered.
A cohesive and happy workplace contributes to positive energy of a space. If there unresolved issues, these can manifest as negative energy and will set the tone of the environment and it won’t matter how may team-building days you send your staff on .
It’s not often that a client will complain that the “space’ didn’t feel right”, making them uncomfortable, so you will never know why you have a decline in appointments.
We visit spa and wellness spaces that provide the vehicle for transformation. A space that is “energetically well”, kept clean and high vibrational will not only support your clients’ healing but it will transform your business.
Intentions and vibration that you send out to the world attracts toward it the same energy. Like attracts like.
THE GOOD OILS FOR SPACE CLEARING
Therapeutic-grade essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, coupled with medicinal properties to nourish, heal and uplift the mind, body, spirit, soul and space.
They are soluble with the lipids in the cell membrane and thus penetrate the cellular wall within 21 minutes of coming into contact with the body. Nothing else in nature can do this.
Healing begins in the brain. There are 800 million nerve endings in the nose that detect odours. The nerves from the olfactory bulb extend back toward the midbrain and deep into the limbic brain (where the pituitary, hypothalamus and pineal glands reside) and finally to the amygdala [the brain structure responsible for autonomic responses associated with fear and fear conditioning].
The limbic is the oldest part of the brain where all the emotions are stored. It is also considered the seat of the soul of the third eye chakra and it is here that aroma can trigger memories and influence emotions and behaviour.
The brain registers smell twice as fast as it does pain. This is why inhalation of aroma can be so powerfully transform our emotions.
Because essential oils have the highest frequency they raise our energy and vibrations to a higher level, clearing our energetic body and shifting energy to heal at the cellular level.
Merely breathing in the fragrance of essential oils is a powerful healer. Direct inhalation or diffusion in a room will enhance emotional wellness, as the aroma unlocks memories, emotions and releases stress.
I prefer to use a cold infuser for this purpose as it better preserves the integrity of the oil.
